To add a new number select the + Add number button from the Numbering - Number page.

Enter the number in an E.164 format (less the + symbol) and click the Validate button. If the number is valid the appropriate Number type, country, State/Province, and City will be presented (if available).

After the new number has been successfully validated, select the appropriate connection to associate the number to from the Inbound connection drop-down list.

Optionally, add one or more tags to be associated with number in the Tag(s) field.

To forward an inbound PSTN calls to this new number to a different PSTN number, toggle the Number control to the enabled position. Ensure that Forward number radio button is selected and enter the full E.164 (less the + symbol) PSTN number to forward the call to in the Forwarding number field.  Select the appropriate connection (termination route plan) to use from the Forwarding connection field.

Note: When configured to forward the call to another PSTN number, no attempt will be made to deliver the call to the customer's Inbound connection.  Two CDRs will be created, one for the PSTN inbound call and one for the PSTN outbound call.

To forward an inbound PSTN calls to this new number to a different customer number, toggle the Number control to the enabled position. Select the Number manipulation radio button and enter number to forward the call to in the New number field.

To configure the number to failover to a different Inbound connection if there is a failure to deliver the call to the assigned inbound connection, toggle the Failover connection to enabled.  Ensure the Connection radio button for the Failover method is selected. Select the connection to failover to from the Failover connection drop-down list.

A failover event is triggered when the customer IP PBX/SBC replies to the SIP Invite with a SIP response code that is in the inbound connection's route advance logic regular expression or if there is a lack of response (timeout).

Note: the number forward and the number failover configurations are  mutually exclusive.

To provision emergency services for US DID numbers, toggle the Emergency services to the enabled position.  Select a civic address from the drop down list or click + Add address to add a new civic address.  Only MSAG (Geo-coded) civic address will be accepted.  Add one or more email addresses from the Notification recipient drop-down list or click + Add recipient to add new email address.

Note: To receive inbound PSTN calls for a new number, the new number must be or have been ported to 46 Labs.  If a new number is added via the Orchestrator order number feature, this feature automatically adds (ports) the number to the platform.

Once you have completed all the required configurations, click the Add number button to add the number to your inventory.
