The Connections page provides a list of all the configured connections (i.e. SIP Trunk Groups) between the customer and the Peeredge Orchestrator.

Key Terminology

NAME - All connections have a name that should describe the purpose of the connection.

INBOUND SERVICE PLAN -  The inbound service plan associates the connection with one or more rate decks (US & Canada DID, US & Canada Toll Free, International DID, International Toll Free) used to determine the rate (i.e. cost) for each established call.  All connections must be associated with an inbound service plan.  The configuration details of the service plan are not viewable from the Enterprise Orchestrator portal.

OUTBOUND SERVICE PLAN - The outbound service plan associates the connection with one or more rate decks (US & Canada Jurisdictional, US & Canada Peering, US & Canada Toll Free, International EEA, US & Canada Local, International Dialed) used to determine the rate (i.e. cost) for each established call.  It also associates the Termination Route Plan to the connection.  The termination route plan contains the route routes and list of potential vendors to send outbound calls to.  All connections must be associated with an outbound service plan.  The configuration details of the service plan and the termination route plan are not viewable from the Enterprise Orchestrator portal.

TAGS - A tag is a simple word or text phrase that can provide additional meaning to the connection. A connection can have multiple tags.

STATUS - The status of a connection can be either enabled (the toggle is to the right) or disabled (the toggle is to the left). Calls can only be processed by connections that are enabled.

The number (5 in the image above) to the right of the word connections, signifies the total number of configured connections.
