To purchase a new number, select the type of number (DID or Toll Free) from the Numbering - Order Number page and then click on the + Add Order Number button.
Enter the quantity of telephone numbers you are considering to purchase and the filtering criteria to narrow the search results. If you know the US State or LATA you want the numbers to be selected from you can use the State and LATA drop-drops fields to select them. If you know the rate center you can enter it in the Rate center field. If you know the area code (NPA) or the local office code (NXX) you want to purchase the numbers from enter them in the Number field. In the example image below the NPANXX for numbers assigned to the Washington DC rate center was used as the filter criteria.
Select the Search Number field to view the Searched results.
To place an order, select the numbers to be purchased in the Searched results. Then select the connection to assign the number to from the Select Connection... drop-down list. Click on the Add Order Number button to purchase the numbers.
Finally click the Confirm button to complete the Order process. The numbers will appear on the Numbering - Number page and can be edited (i.e. add Tags, enable Emergency Services, etc.).
Newly purchased numbers cannot be released back into the 46 Labs number inventory for 90 days from the date of purchase. If you attempt delete a number from the Number or Order Number page before the 90 days from the order date, an error message will be displayed.
The In Service status refers to the status of the number in the 46 Labs inventory. This status indicates that the number has been purchased by a 46 Labs customer (i.e. you) and cannot be purchased (displayed in the Add Order Number search results) for any customer.
Note: Telephone numbers are not available in every LATA, Rate center or local office (NPANXX). If you cannot find the required quantity of available numbers in a specific LATA, Rate center of NPANXX, you can open a support ticket via email to numbers@46labs.com and we can manually check for availability.
