Redundancy

Created by Kelly Evans, Modified on Thu, 5 Jun at 7:45 AM by Kelly Evans

For most customers, the ability to place and receive voice calls to the PSTN is a business critical function that requires the service to be available 99.9% to 99.999% of the time. To increase the PSTN service availability beyond 99.9%, single points of failure in the customer network should be eliminated. 46 Labs recommends redundant customer SBCs/PBXs, and redundant network connections to the 46 Labs cloud (i.e. multiple MPLS or Internet circuits).

Recommendation

46 Labs recommends at least two (2) customer SBCs/PBXs be connected to two (2) geographically separated Peeredge SBCs. 46 Labs also recommends connections to two 46 Labs datacenters in each geographic region (US/Canada, Europe, Asia, CALA) where service is being offered.
